Saint-Julien, Fourth Growth.

80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot.

Château Saint-Pierre is a distinguished wine estate located in the Saint-Julien appellation of Bordeaux, France. With origins dating back to the 17th century, it is one of the oldest estates in the region. Spanning 17 hectares of prime vineyard land, Château Saint-Pierre benefits from the gravelly soils and temperate maritime climate characteristic of Saint-Julien, ideal for growing Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc.

Jane Anson: 95/100
Enjoyable, well balanced, great inky depths of flavour, an enjoyable, sleek and confident St Julien, with an effortless finesse where you feel they aren't trying too hard to impress, just harnessing the drinkability of the vintage with its black fruit and liquorice character. Give it a few years, then sink into the pleasure of this wine.

James Suckling: 94-95/100
Very refined and classy, with ultra-fine tannins and blackcurrant and hazelnut character, suggesting very pure fruit and precise picking times. Medium-bodied and chewy, yet caressing.

Lisa Perrotti-Brown - Wine Independent: 93-95/100
The 2023 du Tertre is deep, powerful and resonant right out of the gate. Dark-toned fruit, chocolate, lavender, mocha and dried herbs are broadly sketched. This heady, layered Margaux is certainly not shy. All it could use is a bit more polish in its contours.

William Kelley - Wine Advocate: 92-94/100
A strong effort, the 2023 Saint-Pierre unwinds in the glass with aromas of cassis, dark berries and incense, framed by a deft touch of new oak. Medium to full-bodied, rich and layered, with good mid-palate density, powdery tannins and lively acids, it's a classically proportioned Saint-Julien that will age with grace. The blend is 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot.
