The wines of Vérité, French for “truth”, are the result of a combination of old-world experience and new-world fruit.
Each wine is a distinct blend of unique components harvested from small vineyard blocks, culminating in a meticulously formed union of grape varieties, climate, soil expression, and winemaking technique.
Vigneron Pierre Seillan refers to this methodology as droit du sol, “right of the soil.”
Notes and Reviews
Robert Parker (100)
Like all of the 2013s, comes about one-third from Alexander Valley vineyards, 40-plus percent from Chalk Hill, and the rest Knights Valley and Bennett Valley — all high-elevation hillside vineyards... the wine is amazingly like a great vintage of Petrus, with mulberry, black cherry, liquorice, truffle and unctuous, thick juicy fruit all present in this full-bodied masterpiece.
