Château Viranel is without doubt the finest producer in the tiny St-Chinian appellation in the Languedoc. It is located in the commune of Cessenon and covers 40 hectares on south facing chalky/limestone terraces at St-Chinian, close to Bêziers on the Mediterranean coast. Syrah, Grenache and Carignan are planted and red, white and rosé wines are produced.
Notes and Reviews
Chateau tasting: Dark and ruby robe, adorned with red copper reflections. Beautiful complexity on the nose which hexale aromas of red berries (blackcurrant and cherry, notes of prune in alcohol and rose petals. The mouth, in aromatic harmony with the nose, is captivating by its beautiful balance and its delicate sweetness. The alcohol is well melted and participates in the length in mouth wich is revitalised by a nice freshness.
